Have you ever thought to google the money practices of Multi-Millionaires?
This was the revelation I had about a year ago after a lunch with a good friend who said she was working on creating “7 Streams of Income”. This she said was the common practice of the wealthiest people in the world based on some research study.
Up until this point it never occurred to me to do practical research on our countries most affluent, but you can best believe I was scouring the internet to learn more about this pathway to wealth. Here is what I learned:
1. The difference between earned income and passive income
2. You can leverage what you already know to help you create additional streams of income
3. You don’t need a lot of money to invest, you just have to start investing and be consistent
I recorded this video just describing the different types of income streams and will be recording a later video on my personal investment story.
This was my exact google search in case you wanted to get started: Seven Streams of Income
Make it an awesome week!

Wait what!?! Did you just say my childhood???(Insert nervous laugh) Ummm… I dunno, I mean I have to think about it some more. Hmmmm, I’m not sure … I mean I guess I can remember thinking about money as a child … What was my first memory!?! I don’t know it was so long ago… let me think (insert 2nd and now awkward giggle followed by long pause) … Oh S#*% it was the time I called Grandma to pay the water bill!!!
Seriously how could I have forgotten this!?! Its basically the incident that shaped my whole life. It sparked my entrepreneurial curiosity, my fears of being without and the realization that my dad was a poor money money manager.
In hindsight its crazy to think that such powerful moments can be overshadowed by a lifetime of petty drama. You would think that one would KNOW of the HUGE event that subconsciously sabotages their attempts to get ahead… but NO!!! That would be too easy, and would probably eliminate the need for therapists. So joke is on us until one day you find yourself in a room with entrepreneurs learning about the power of “Money Mindset” (from Diana Powerhouse herself) or you learn second hand by reading this blog!
So what is money mindset? Simply put its your subconscious relationship and behaviors around spending, saving, and investing money. It’s how you act and feel when you have it, what you think, feel, and do when you don’t, and what you feel about others when they have, or have not!
Our money mindsets develop when we are children, but evolves over our adulthood. FACT: You can have more than one money mindset issue, and I personally have suffered with several at the same time. I recorded this week’s Money tip video on the five most common types of money mindset issues.
Also you can learn more about scarcity money mindset from this Forbes article.
My favorite thing I have learned thus far in my money mindset journey, is that once you face the fear and own your habits, you are free to change the ending! You don’t have to live in the money mindset hamster wheel, you can say “that once was a belief I had until I learned… and now I am…”
The future is ours my friend! I would love to hear your thoughts and learn if you have struggled with the same things! It would be amazing to hear different perspectives on how you have learned to overcome your money mindset issues! Feel free to comment below 🙂

Guys!
I am officially 35 today!!! Hooray! I can finally run for President?!?! Your prayers have been answered… LOL! Seriously though, it’s crazy to think how much has happened over the years. I am married, with 2.5 kids (ones on the way), I have moved 10 times, visited 7 countries, graduated from college and started a mortgage business! I have experienced some great losses with the passing of family, friends and my beloved Papa. A lot of life has happened in these 35 years… Ahhh and if I can be so bold (and because it’s my birthday) I wanted to share a personal reflection with you that I have been thinking about the past few days…
There is no such thing as failure… and before you stop reading… let me explain why. I have lived my life trying to prevent bad things, that single greatest emotion I have experienced to date is anxiety. I have been so afraid of letting people down, that I became a work terrorist and lost my job. I have hurt people I love trying to live up to expectations that my fear created. In the big picture, the worst thing that ever happened to me led to the Lizy Hoeffer Team, an investment in leadership, and ultimately I have become a better person. Every rejection, every loss, every let down has been the foundation of the next best thing that has happened to me.
I can connect the dots between every bad thing that led to an amazing thing, even the passing of my favorite person (my daddy). Losing him taught me the value of relationships. Because he is gone I love harder and I pay more attention. It also let me to a healthier lifestyle which directly resulted in me being able to get pregnant and I am now the mom of the most amazing kiddos.
I am not saying that there is no pain or hurt, but I am saying is that it does not exist without joy. There will still be frustrations, and “I am so sorry” in my future, but instead of concentrating on what is imperfect I will be looking for the lesson and the blessing to come.
Thank you for reading and indulging this now 35-year-old work in progress! May you live in joy!
All my best!
Lizy
